MISSION PARTNER
VOLUNTEERS OF ALL FAITHS CHANGING LIVES
Family Promise’s programs are powered by the compassion and commitment of interfaith congregations and community volunteers. Together, we support local families—especially those experiencing Category 2 homelessness, such as living in motels or doubled up—by providing stability, connection, and resources.
Our Mission Partners play a vital role in supporting families experiencing housing instability. They provide warm meals, a welcoming presence, and ongoing hospitality through our programs. Whether it's offering dinner for families living in motels, volunteering at our Internet Café for online students, or helping with enrichment activities during our summer programming, these congregations and community groups walk alongside families with compassion and care. Their involvement helps create safe spaces where children can learn, grow, and just be kids—despite the challenges they face.

MISSION PARTNERS
Local congregations and community groups continue to be a vital part of our work—now in new and flexible ways that reflect the evolving needs of families experiencing Category 2 homelessness.
Although we no longer provide emergency overnight shelter, we continue to rely on caring volunteers to support children and families in practical and meaningful ways. Mission Partners may help with:

-
Providing or serving meals for families living in motels
-
Volunteering at our Internet Café by assisting students with homework or offering tech support
-
Organizing or leading activities for kids during after-school and summer in our Bright Futures program
-
Donating snacks, school supplies, hygiene items, or cleaning products
-
Offering mentorship, tutoring, or simply spending time with children in a safe, supportive environment
-
Coordinating drives or fundraisers to support family stability and basic needs
By partnering with us, your congregation or group helps create a circle of care that surrounds families with hope, dignity, and opportunity.
FLEXIBLE COMMITMENT, MEANINGFUL IMPACT
We understand your time and resources are limited—that’s why Family Promise makes it easy to get involved in ways that work for your congregation. Whether you can help occasionally or on a quarterly basis, your support provides stability and hope to families facing housing insecurity.

-
Volunteer roles are flexible and can fit into your existing ministries
-
Support is offered during program hours—not around the clock
-
We serve small family groups, typically 2–4 families at a time (up to 14 people)
-
All families are carefully screened for safety through background checks and drug screenings
-
Family Promise provides staff support and transportation when needed
You don’t have to do it all—just take one small step to make a big difference.
We need your help! Can your faith group become a Mission Partner Congregation?
WE THANK OUR DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS!
