🍽️ Need a Meal? Here’s Where Adults Can Find Food in Genesee County
While our Meet Up and Eat Up summer program provides free meals for kids and teens, we know families — and adults — need to eat, too.
If you're an adult or a household looking for food support, you’re not alone, and help is available.
Whether you’re looking for groceries to take home or a hot meal today, here are two easy ways to find food near you:
🔎 1. Find Food Through the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan
The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan has an amazing interactive tool to help you find local pantries, mobile distributions, and soup kitchens.
➡️ Visit: fbem.org/find-food
Just type in your ZIP code or address, and you’ll see a map of food distribution sites near you — including hours, addresses, and what to expect. Some locations offer groceries, others offer prepared meals, and many offer both.
🗺️ 2. Check Out These Local Food Resources
There’s also a super helpful visual guide to food resources in Genesee County available here:
Hot Meals or Bag Lunches
Downtown Flint➡️ Click to view food resource map
This guide lists organizations and community centers offering food assistance across the area — from churches and schools to neighborhood hubs. It's a great tool to share with friends, neighbors, or anyone needing a little help.
❤️ Remember:
Asking for help is brave, not shameful. These resources exist because everyone deserves to eat, no exceptions.
If you need additional assistance or want help navigating these tools, contact us at Family Promise of Mid Michigan — we’ll do our best to connect you.
