This past Saturday, August 9, 2025, the incredible Sally Rummell and Janet Wilson of Transfiguration Lutheran Church of Fenton (FentonTLC.org) once again went above and beyond, organizing their Second Annual Family Promise 5K Fun Walk.

It was a scorcher of a summer morning, but that didn’t stop 12 determined walkers from showing up, lacing up, and stepping out in support of our mission. Thanks to their efforts — and the generosity of the TLC community — this year’s walk raised a record-breaking $850 for Family Promise of Mid Michigan and our programming.

This support couldn’t have come at a better time. We just wrapped up our Bright Futures summer program, where we provided camp for 9 children who would have otherwise been stuck inside all day. Instead, they spent their summer exploring, learning, and laughing together — an opportunity made possible by people like you.

We are so deeply grateful to Sally, Janet, and every member of the TLC family who continues to believe in and support our mission of ending homelessness… one family at a time.

Here’s to many more walks, many more memories, and many more families finding the stability they deserve. 💛👟
